Liverpool fans arriving to Moscow for a Champions League draw with Russian team Spartak were pleasantly surprised with a warm welcome from Russian fans, including free T-shirts. The event is part of an initiative dubbed 'Gentlefan,' which first started in February 2017 when Rostov fans offered their Manchester United counterparts warm blankets prior to the rainy match. The tradition is picking up steam with Liverpool as well as Manchester United supporters receiving free merchandise in Moscow this September, and will continue next summer during the World Cup.
Former FC Barcelona and Ajax legend Johan Cruyff has died at his home in Barcelona Thursday aged 68. The football legend was diagnosed cancer in October last year.
