Day seven of the 2020 BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy saw the GS riders head further south, exchanging the high country of the Mackenzie Basin for the first reaches of the Upper Otago, not an easy transition as mountains are constant barriers to movement here in the South Island. The smallest lines of weakness – passes and gorges – are typically the only way to reach new territory and so it was the GS Trophy route negotiated four mountain passes and plenty of water crossings before the riders were allowed to reach the camp at Lake Wanaka, which in the early evening sat in the shadow of the imposing Mount Aspiring (a world heritage site).
The new Audi RS7 Sportback marks the model's second generation and is more unique than ever before. The extreme width is no optical illusion - at 1,950 millimeters (76.8 inches) at the front fenders, the tape measure has to stretch an extra 40 millimeters (1.6 inches) or so over the Audi A7 Sportback. The new RS7 Sportback shares the coupé-like lines of the base model's body, but only in four areas: the hood, the roof, the front doors and the tailgate. The RS-specific exterior design gives the 5,009-millimeter (197.2-inch) grand tourer a character all of its own.
A giant cup was filled to the brim with piping hot tea as a team of 138 culinary experts broke a Guinness World Record for the largest cup of tea in the world on Thursday. In total, the team managed to fill the cup with 5,000 liters, or about 1,320 gallons, of delicious hot tea. The karak tea was prepared out using 5,000 teabags mixed with milk, cardamom and sugar. The previous record was set in Shanghai when the pot was filled with measly 4,050 litres of tea.
