Traffickers disguise cocaine as bananas at Ecuador's ports

Description

Drug traffickers at Ecuador's ports have adopted a rather unusual tactic to avoid the police finding their stash: hiding their illicit cargo inside bananas. Tracking down all this smuggled cocaine is proving something of an expensive headache for police and exporters alike - with Ecuador seizing a record 210 tons of the powder in 2021.
