Ukrainian tanks head to Kherson following its liberation November 11 after an 8-month long Russian occupation, which left much of the city mined and in ruins. Shelling frmo across the Dnipro river, where Russia's forces retreated too, leaves many buildings in the regional capital smouldering from the strikes. IMAGES
Residents of Kherson celebrate Russia's retreat from the city by drinking champagne and getting Ukrainian flags signed by soldiers. "We waited a lot for the Armed Forces of Ukraine", says a woman, raising a glass to the liberation of the city. IMAGES

NATO forces cross the Vistula River at Korzeniewo in Poland as part of the US-led defence alliance's Exercise Dragon 24, involving around 4,500 soldiers and almost 1,000 vehicles.
