A fresh look at Parisian history: Carnavalet Museum reopens after renovation

Description

The Carnavalet Museum is opening its doors to the public for the first time since 2016. For more than four years, some 100 people have been working to restore, rearrange and expand the permanent collection. The €58 million overhaul seeks to give a new lease of life to the oldest museum dedicated to the history of the French capital. Among some of the latest additions is a new room dedicated to the 21st century. We take a look inside.

An angry Mitsotakis cut short his three-day visit and headed back to Greece, according the Greek leader's office, after the meeting scheduled for Tuesday was pulled. "When it was clear that the purpose of the meeting was not to discuss substantive issues for the future, but rather to grandstand and relitigate issues of the past, it wasn't appropriate," Sunak tells the House of Commons as he addresses a diplomatic row against a backdrop of ownership claims to ancient sculptures on display at the British Museum.
