The design of the ID.4 GTX underscores its extraordinary character, combining driving fun with a robust look. The familiar light strip has been combined with powerful, dynamic elements – in particular, the three honeycomb elements that form the daytime running lights. They convey the vehicle’s sporty character even when it is stationary and, at the same time, establish a connection to the Golf GTI. Alongside the newly designed bumpers, the eye-catching elements at the rear include the 3D LED tail light cluster with brake lights that form an X.
Upping the ante on the ID.4 EV’s already superb blend of performance, packaging and value, the ID.4 Accessories concept starts with a 2021 ID.4 1st Edition and adds versatile lifestyle elements. Outside, Volkswagen Accessories base carrier bars support a Thule Canyon Basket to haul gear and an Apex XT 9025XT hitch-mounted bike rack is ride ready. Splash guards protect the eighteen-inch wheels with H&R TRAK+ wheel spacers and 245/60R18 all-terrain tires. Inside, Volkswagen Accessories include the Full Display Mirror, rear seat cover, a spare tire kit, dock & coat hanger, roadside assistance and first aid kit, and Monster Mats all-season floor mats.

The ID.4 GTX and ID.5 GTX models with dual-motor all-wheel drive – presented just last year – will now be equipped with even more comprehensive standard equipment to emphasise this claim. In addition, they provide a glimpse of the look of other GTX models with new design accents in black and red. In future, every ID. series will have its own GTX model. The first Volkswagen model with the GTX label is now here: this abbreviation stands for a new level of sportiness from Volkswagen which will continue the tradition of the successful GTI, GTD and GTE models. The ID.4 GTX is therefore the new top-of-the-range model in the purely electric ID.4 model series. Its two electric motors – one each on the front and rear axles – combine to deliver a maximum output of 220 kW (299 PS) and work together as an electric dual-motor all-wheel drive. This technology offers a high level of driving stability and large power reserves – in short: more driving pleasure. The compact ID.4 GTX will be launched in Europe in Summer 2021. In Germany, it will start at an entry-level price of 50,415 euros, with customers being able to apply for a (net) grant of 7,500 euros.
