Pegasus project: Macron chairs emergency meeting on spyware

Description

French President Emmanuel Macron convened an emergency security meeting Thursday to discuss the government's response to reports that the cellphones of Macron and top French officials may have been targeted by spyware. Macron met with Prime Minister Jean Castex and other officials following new evidence found by a global media consortium investigating the suspected widespread use of Israel’s NSO Group's Pegasus spyware to target journalists, human rights activists and politicians in multiple countries. France 24's International Affairs Editor Doug Herbert tells us more.
