The Zoo of Copenhagen has released footage of a baby elephant which was born last week in captivity as part of a European breeding program for Asian elephants. The mother is 16 year old Maha Kumari and the fathers name is Fahim. The name and gender of the baby elephant aren't known yet. Calves weight in beetween 70 and 90kg at birth after spending 22 months in their mothers wombs, the longest gestation in the animal kindom. Guadalajara, Oct 9 (EFE).- Four endangered bengal tiger cubs have become the center of attraction for human visitors at the Guadalajara Zoo.Nadya Herran, a veterinarian and caretaker of the tigers, explained that the cubs, two males and two females, now weigh 12 kilos and were born in July 2021. Guadalajara, Sep 23 (EFE).- The IV Biennial of Novel Mario Vargas Llosa kicked off Thursday in the Mexican city of Guadalajara with focuses on language and freedom.During the opening ceremony, the Peruvian Nobel Prize winner Mario Vargas Llosa highlighted that the Chair that bears his name and that organizes the biennial seeks to promote the books written in Spanish that have quality and that contribute to the intellectual training of readers. The event is scheduled to run until Sep. 26.
