Friday night French clubs will be permitted to reopen for the first time since the Covid-19 crisis erupted, although stringent rules mean many will stay shuttered.

In the old port of Marseille, the terrace of a café is full on the morning of the long-awaited reopening. Closed since October 30, 2020, bars and restaurants are once again allowed to serve their customers outside on terraces and with no more than six people at a table.
