Volkswagen’s GTX brand stands for the sporty top-of-the-line models of the ID. family. The ID.4 GTX and ID.5 GTX models with dual-motor all-wheel drive – presented just last year – will now be equipped with even more comprehensive standard equipment to emphasise this claim. In addition, they provide a glimpse of the look of other GTX models with new design accents in black and red. In future, every ID. series will have its own GTX model. The ID.4 GTX from 53,255 euros and ID.5 GTX from 56,455 euros are already available for order.Volkswagen has further enhanced the sporty GTX models. The previously optional equipment packages known as Design and Comfort have become standard equipment. They include a climate comfort windscreen, darkened side and rear windows, heated front seats, two USB-C interfaces, a variable centre console, the Air Care Climatronic air-conditioning system with active combination filter, stationary air conditioning and two-zone temperature control.
With a length of 4,962 mm and up to seven seats, the large ID. Buzz is perfectly primed for its launch in North America. At the same time, it is also expanding its range of possible applications in Europe. The extra length due to the increase in the wheelbase by 250 mm creates room for a third row of seats, providing up to 2,469 liters of storage space, and for a new, larger 85 kWh battery (net capacity), giving even more range. With its ACCELERATE strategy, Volkswagen is expediting its transformation into a software-oriented mobility provider: The new ID.5 and new ID.5 GTX are the sixth fully electric models to join the ID. family. The Volkswagen ID.5 is the SUV coupé from a brand new generation of vehicles with premium standards. It will be launched as the ID.5 with a rear-wheel drive system with 128 kW (174 PS) or 150 kW (204 PS) and as an all-wheel drive ID.5 GTX with 220 kW (299 PS). Volkswagen has completed its inaugural entry in the Rebelle Rally, with driver Mercedes Lilienthal and navigator Emily Winslow running the modified Volkswagen ID.4 AWD Pro electric SUV through eight grueling days of off-road competition in the deserts of Nevada and California.The Rebelle Rally, now in its sixth year, is the first all-women rally raid event of its kind in the United States, challenging teams and vehicles across 1,400 miles through the deserts of Nevada and California. Pairs of drivers and navigators use their skills, including traditional map and compass navigation and limited supplies, to overcome challenges along the course from Las Vegas to the Imperial Sand Dunes in California, along trails that respect the desert environment.Lilienthal and Winslow competed in the ID.4 AWD Pro in the X-Cross category. Tanner Foust Racing and Rhys Millen Racing modified the vehicle with new suspension components, tubular control arms, fabricated skid plates, battery protection and other items to fully equip the vehicle for the driving expedition.
