This is the new Opel Grandland X - with a host of top technologies on board and plenty of space for up to five adventurous passengers, their luggage and sport equipment. The 4.48 meter-long Grandland X's athletic look boasts crisp exterior dimensions with its taut muscles and short overhangs. And with optional two-color finish, the compact SUV shows its very own style. The Opel Grandland X made its world premiere at the 2017 IAA (International Motor Show) in Frankfurt. Ideally equipped and well positioned, the new Grandland X comes to market in the fall as the third member of the Opel X family. It joins its Opel Crossland X and bestseller Opel Mokka X siblings, which both are some 20 centimeters shorter in length. At the same time, the Grandland X expands the extensive Opel portfolio in the very popular compact car segment from Astra to Zafira.

Elegantly sporty with intuitive controls and innovative technologies – this is the new Opel Grandland. With the fully digital Pure Panel, the new model offers the driver a completely different cockpit experience. The Opel SUV flagship also features additional technologies and assistance systems that until now customers only find in higher class vehicles. Especially the adaptive IntelliLux LED Pixel Light with a total of 168 LED elements. The technology from Opel’s flagship limousine, the Insignia, is making its debut in the German brand’s top SUV and sets new standards in the Grandland’s market sector. The same goes for Night Vision, which is celebrating its premiere at Opel. The system detects pedestrians and animals in darkness at a distance of up to 100 metres and warns the driver. The semi-adaptive Highway Integration Assist keeps the Grandland in the middle of its lane and maintains the distance to the vehicle in front. Produced in Germany, the new Grandland also features the Opel Vizor, the brand’s new face.
With a system output of 165 kW/225 hp - the 1.6 litre four-cylinder engine delivers 133 kW/180 hp, the electric motor contributes up to 81.2 kW/110 hp - and maximum torque of 360 Nm, the new Astra GSe makes a clear statement in its class. A brisk start from traffic lights and a sporty top speed are guaranteed. From a standing start, the five-door sports hatchback accelerates to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds; a top speed of up to 235 km/h is possible (135 km/h purely electrically). And thanks to the 12.4 kWh lithium-ion battery, the Astra GSe can cover up to 64 kilometres locally emission-free according to WLTP.In addition, the GSe newcomers set the new chassis benchmark for integration and feedback to the driver. In the Astra comparison, the GSe is designed to be even more agile and precise. The chassis has been lowered by 10 millimetres. The steering, suspension and brakes respond more directly to any command from the driver. The KONI FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) technology enables different damping characteristics for precise handling and high comfort depending on the situation.

Many electronic aids are on board as standard. In addition, the Intelli-Drive 2.0 system with semi-automatic lane change assist and intelligent speed adaptation is available as an option. Comfort for the driver is enhanced by the optional AGR-certified ergonomic Active Sport seat (standard with GS trim), while the fully digital Pure Panel cockpit with two 10-inch displays and Multimedia infotainment system ensures the best in connectivity and entertainment.In addition to all-electric drive, Opel Astra Sports Tourer customers can choose from several drivetrain alternatives.
