Chile inaugurates Latin Amerca's first thermosolar energy plant in Atacama desert

Atacama Desert, Jun 8 (EFE).- Chile inaugurated Tuesday the first thermosolar energy plant in Latin America known as Cerro Dominador.With around 10,600 heliostats, 392,000 solar panels and a 250 meter high tower, the plant is located in the Atacama desert,where it will get one of the highest levels of solar radiation in the world.
