Le Mans winner and Porsche brand ambassador Timo Bernhard and Porsche driver Laurin Heinrich discover adventure stations in the Porsche Museum.
By taking all the remaining useable parts from the original chassis, and performing a classic reconstruction, brand ambassador Timo Bernhard and the team at the Porsche Museum are bringing this iconic car back to life.
When Walter Röhrl and Timo Bernhard meet up in the cockpit of a Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7, something special happens. For a film to mark the 50th anniversary of the sports car, the two-time rally world champion and the winner of Le Mans are sitting side-by-side in what was once Germany's fastest production sports car.
The starting point of the series “The Success Story of Porsche in Le Mans” is 1951, when Porsche clinches its first class victory with the 356 SL. The triumph with the light alloy coupé was followed by a further 107 class and 19 overall victories. 70 years later, “Porsche Moments” is the start of a new series devoted to the glorious chapter in six episodes. The team pays tribute to the many historically significant moments at Le Mans in media, internationally and at the Zuffenhausen site. “In the new 'Porsche Moments' format, we highlight special moments from our past in which - from today's perspective - we wrote company, product or racing history. We recreate these moments as authentically as possible with contemporary witnesses and invite our fans via our social media channels to relive these special 'Porsche Moments', ”says Achim Stejskal, Head of Porsche Heritage and Museum. As the host, Le Mans winner and endurance world champion Timo Bernhard leads through a total of six episodes. In Zuffenhausen and Weissach he meets exciting contemporary witnesses on four wheels and two legs.
