Geneva, Apr 28 (EFE).- A total of 1.2 million people were recorded as newly internally displaced in Latin America last year, forced to abandon their homes due to natural disasters or violence. At a press conference in Nairobi, Kenya, the head of the UN's refugee agency Filippo Grandi says, "Today we pass the mark of half a million refugees from Sudan, following the beginning of the conflict."
