To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Golf R, Volkswagen is launching the Golf R “20 Years” as an exclusive special-edition model. The production period limited to approximately one year makes the special-edition model a collector’s item as soon as it rolls off the production line. Like all premium performance models of the Volkswagen R with their increased power, the Golf R has its roots on the race track and stands for the transfer of innovative technologies to series production. Fan communities around the world are enthralled by the expressive design and enhanced performance. The new Golf R “20 Years” is now available to order with prices starting from 59,995 euros in Germany.
The Golf R “20 Years” effortlessly bridges the gap between everyday companion and thoroughbred athlete.“With this car, I can drive here on the Nürburgring and the next stop is then the baker’s or the DIY store. The vehicle is really an all-rounder that can do everything,” says a visibly impressed Benjamin Leuchter. And that is exactly the concept pursued by Volkswagen R: Volkswagen’s premium performance brand has already been offering special models since 2002. With their enhanced performance and expressive design, they generate enthusiasm all over the world in the Volkswagen fan communities.The continuous and rapid development towards even greater performance can be easily seen by taking a look at some of the vehicle data of the models from past years. Starting with the Golf R32 with 177 kW (241 PS) and a 3.2-litre six-cylinder engine as the drive unit, through the Golf 6 R with 199 kW (270 PS) and a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine, the performance-oriented Golf models up to the Golf R “20 Years” with 245 kW (333 PS) have not just become more powerful, but also faster. Volkswagen of America, Inc., unveiled the new 2019 Jetta GLI at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show. In 2018, Volkswagen completely overhauled the compact VW Jetta to cater specifically to American buyers, with bolder design, more interior space than the outgoing model, and new technology. Building on the success of that model, today's GLI ups the performance ante with more power, sharper handling, and features shared with GTI and Golf R."Volkswagen has long been synonymous with small, sporty cars," said Scott Keogh, CEO, Volkswagen Group of America. "The redesigned 2019 Jetta proved once more that its combination of design, technology and value continues to resonate with buyers. The 2019 GLI takes the Jetta foundation and adds performance features from the Golf GTI to give buyers a true sport sedan."While the 2019 GLI features the MQB architecture, coupe-like profile and oversized grille of the redesigned Jetta, it adds sporty styling cues that hint at its beefed-up powertrain. Featuring a sport suspension, the GLI sits 0.6 inches lower than a regular Jetta, giving it a more planted look. Standard LED projector headlights with LED DRLs flank a black honeycomb grille with red accent line that harkens to the GTI. Golf R brakes, with red-painted calipers, stand out in the sleek 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels that are exclusive to GLI. In the rear, standard LED taillights are joined by a spoiler and unique rear bumper with finned diffusor and dual chrome exhaust tips to give it a truly unique rear view. A 35th Anniversary model features unique black wheels with a red stripe, a black roof, black mirror caps, black tail spoiler, and 35th anniversary badging inside and out.

Touareg, Volkswagen’s flagship SUV for more than two decades, underscores a proud tradition of quality, capability and comfort that is synonymous with the marque and its extensive array of cutting-edge passenger cars. Comfortably more than 1.1 million people worldwide, including about 58,200 in the UK, have enjoyed the luxury and style afforded by three generations of Touareg over the past 21 years, and that number is set to continue to grow with the arrival, in October 2023, of a comprehensively updated new model.Always a showcase for the latest in Volkswagen technical developments, the Touareg now debuting in UK showrooms exhibits an array of high-tech features, many offered as standard, that once again help define the car as an engineering tour de force.Among the many highlights, today’s Touareg includes the option of newly-developed IQ.Light HD LED matrix headlights which use 38,432 LEDs to turn night into day. Three light modules in each headlight create an unmistakable design and allow various light functions to be used. They also project a lane of light ahead of the driver to provide maximum visibility without dazzling oncoming traffic. Upgraded running gear and further enhanced comfort on- or off-road add to the appeal, while the new Touareg’s renowned towing capabilities of course remain.A redesigned front-end features, for the first time on Touareg, an illuminated horizontal strip in the radiator grille. A similar illuminated line at the rear also offers a first, in the form of a red illuminated Volkswagen logo on top-end variants. Fresh 20-, 21- or 22-inch alloy wheels add to the updated exterior appeal while, inside, Volkswagen has enhanced the Touareg for added comfort on long journeys, including softer armrests and padding on the centre console to cushion knees from bumps. New door panels, also made of a foamed material, come with attractive double decorative seams.
While the refreshed Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport maintain the same underpinnings of the successful outgoing models, the spacious interior of each vehicle receives a major upgrade for the 2024 model year. Premium materials are adopted throughout, including a leatherette-trimmed soft-touch dash and center console. Front-row door trim and décor flow seamlessly into the dash panel, creating an upscale cockpit; the door treatment is also mirrored in the second row. Available ambient lighting with 30 color choices pairs with innovative backlit dash décor featuring the model name to elevate the new design. Top-of-range models feature quilted leather seats with a diamond pattern.Comfort features get a boost as well. A heated steering wheel with shift paddles, ventilated front seats and a height-adjustable passenger seat are now standard fare, along with Climatronic automatic climate control and Voice Control. The center console is redesigned with a storage cubby underneath. Leather seating surfaces and heated rear seats are now available a trim line lower than previous models.Enhanced technology in the refreshed Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport offers a more connected experience. A 12-inch floating infotainment display is an elegant focal point in the redesigned cockpit, and drivers of every trim level benefit from the 10.25-inch fully configurable Volkswagen Digital Cockpit Pro. Connecting devices is easier than ever with standard wireless App-Connect, wireless charging, and six USB-C ports (eight available) with 45-watt fast charging.
