The rebel-controlled region of Donbass, in eastern Ukraine is coal mining dominated area. With many of these mines closed by the war, miners, many of them women, continue producing coal unpaid for the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic.
The 100-metre-high cooling tower and 140-metre-high chimney of a former coal-fired power station in eastern France collapse after being razed using explosives.
