Protests and unrest build in Kisumu, eastern Kenya, the stronghold of former prime minister Raila Odinga, after deputy President William Ruto was declared winner of Kenya's hard-fought presidential poll. The announcement was mired in controversy after several members of the election commission rejected the results. IMAGES
William Ruto receives the certificate of his victory from the hands of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Chairman Wafula Chebukati, as Ruto was declared President-elect of Kenya despite several commissioners rejecting the results.
