One of the most epic drag races ever took place at the 2017 MAKS Air Show in Russia on Saturday - pitting a MIG-29UB fighter jet against a Formula 1 race car. The Formula 1 vehicle took the lead in the beginning but the MIG's engines warmed up quickly and the jet quickly overtook the race car before going airborn. The action took place on the grounds of the Zhukovsky airfield outside Moscow, and featured some of the world's fastest four-wheeled vehicles racing different aircraft on the race track in a mini event called the Festival of Speed.
Inspired by the recently popular fidget spinners, a group of bloggers known as Garage 54 on YouTube decided to build the ultimate fidget spinner by welding three cars together in the Russian city of Novosibirsk. Three old Lada 2109 cars with front wheel drive were sawn in half and front ends of all three cars were welded together to form a bizarre automotive creation which looks like something from a fantasy cartoon.

Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk, his Ukrainian counterpart Denis Shmygal and their delegations pose for a photo in Warsaw ahead of bilateral talks on a dispute over farming imports and blockades by disgruntled Polish farmers on the shared border. While Poland has been a staunch supporter of Ukraine, ties have soured over the past months amid ongoing economic disputes, and as farmers complain imports from Ukraine have undercut prices for their own produce. Polish farmers have been blocking border crossings with Ukraine since last month to protest at what they say is unfair competition from goods from the war-torn country.
