Images show the aftermath of a strike in the Golosiivsky district of Kyiv. Russia carried out the "most important" drone attack on Kyiv overnight Saturday-Sunday since the start of the invasion, military authorities said. "In total a record number of explosive drones launched were counted: 54!" Ukraine's air force said in a Telegram post. Forty of the drones targeted the capital, killing two people and wounding three. Images show a Ukrainian air defence system working during a strike on Kyiv overnight. Ukraine said on Tuesday that it had downed an entire barrage of Russian drones and missiles, including six hypersonic missiles, just hours ahead of a visit by a Chinese special envoy. Posting on Twitter, Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said "another unbelievable success for the Ukrainian Air Forces! Last night, our sky defenders shot down SIX russian hypersonic Kinzhal missiles and 12 other missiles". The statement comes just over a week after Ukraine said it had downed its first Kinzhal hypersonic missile. IMAGES
