Tightest presidential race in decades as Angola goes to the polls

Description

Vote-counting begins after millions of Angolans cast ballots in the most competitive election the country has had since 1992. The opposition political bloc UNITA hopes to unseat the MPLA, which has ruled for nearly five decades. Also in this edition: the euro's slump against the dollar had consequences for the many African countries that use the CFA franc, which is pegged to the European currency. We take a closer look.
