Thousands of people are queuing, day and night, along London's River Thames to pay their last respects to Queen Elizabeth II as her coffin lies in state at Westminster Hall. The UK Department of Culture has said that wait times could be as high as 30 hours as the queue continues to grow ahead of the record-breaking monarch's funeral on Monday 19 September. IMAGES
Members of the public queue outside St Giles' Cathedral in Edinburgh to pay their respects in front of Queen Elizabeth II's coffin, which will lie in the cathedral until it is flown to London on Tuesday ahead of the late monarch's state funeral on September 19. Many were up early to queue for wristbands that will allow them to file past the closed coffin, guarded by the Royal Company of Archers, from 5:30 pm (1630 GMT). IMAGES

Queen Elizabeth's cortege arrives at her final resting place in Windsor Castle. Slowly travelling the town's Long Walk, which is packed full with mourners, the late queen's flag-draped coffin makes its final journey to the tune of pipes and drums.
