Green light for the first BMW M automobile designed for purely electric mobility from the outset. The BMW Group presents the third, even more powerful model variant of its new technology flagship: the BMW iX M60. With an output of 455 kW/619 hp, a maximum torque of 1.015 Nm in Sport Mode respectively 1 100 Nm with activated Launch Control and an M specific suspension set-up, it adds an outstanding performance experience to the world of locally emission-free mobility.The BMW iX M60 combines a vehicle concept consistently geared towards sustainability with the design of a modern Sports Activity Vehicle and thrilling dynamic driving characteristics. In this way it embodies the best of the three worlds of BMW i, the BMW X models and BMW M GmbH. With its technological highlights, which also include the areas of automated driving, operation and connectivity, the new BMW iX M60 represents a new understanding of advanced luxury, high performance and premium character.

The second generation of the sporty all-rounder for the premium compact segment exudes visual dynamism and imposing presence through BMW’s clear design language. Its fundamentally redesigned interior combines a variety of usage possibilities with modern geometry and a BMW Curved Display in the style of the BMW iX. Added to which, the new 2 Series Active Tourer leads the way when it comes to powertrain, driver assistance, control/operation and connectivity innovations.Its uncomplicated functionality, progressive character profile and range of standard equipment – which comfortably exceeds that of the predecessor model and stands out against its rivals – make the new BMW 2 Series Active Tourer a particularly attractive proposition for active, lifestyle-oriented target groups. Four model variants with front-wheel drive and outputs ranging from 100 kW/136 hp to 160 kW/218 hp will be available at launch in February 2022. The new model will be built at BMW Group Plant Leipzig and its vehicle architecture is designed to accommodate both combustion engines and electrified drive systems. Two plug-in hybrid models will be added to the line-up a few months after launch.

Now, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2021, BMW is announcing the next chapter in its display and operating system, which is set to transport driver-vehicle interaction into a new digital and intelligent age. The CES will take place on 11 – 14 January 2021 in exclusively digital form. BMW is utilising the virtual forum the event provides to give a global audience an initial preview of its upcoming all-new BMW iDrive system, which will be officially unveiled later in 2021.BMW’s digital offering at CES 2021 also includes an entertaining teaser video that visualises the development of the user experience inside a BMW over the last two decades. The protagonists in this journey through time are the 2001 BMW 7 Series – in which the BMW iDrive system celebrated its premiere – and the BMW iX, which will come onto the market in 2021 and in which the new generation of the display and operating system will be available to experience for the first time. BMW M GmbH is adding a new body variant to its line-up of high-performance models in the premium midsize class. The first-ever BMW M3 Touring combines authentic motor sport feeling with a very distinct character and a broader spread of practical qualities. Its powertrain technology is focused wholly on delivering beguiling performance and brings together the 375 kW/510 hp version of the six-cylinder in-line engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology, the eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic and the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The latest addition to the range is therefore available exclusively in BMW M3 Competition Touring with M xDrive form. The variable-use interior of the first BMW M3 Touring gives it a distinctive character profile, providing fresh scope for experiencing M-typical performance in everyday use. The new BMW iDrive including BMW Curved Display brings cutting-edge control/operation and connectivity tech to the cabin.
