  • Subaru Solterra - Crash & Safety Tests - 2022

The new Subaru SOLTERRA offers excellent safety: The all-wheel drive brand's first electric SUV achieves five out of five stars in the current Euro NCAP crash test - it doesn't get any better than this. The fully electric vehicle exceeds the minimum requirements of the independent testing organization in all four test categories - in terms of occupant protection for adults and children as well as vulnerable road users and the safety systems. With the assistants in particular, the SOLTERRA scored 91 percent, more points than any Subaru in this vehicle class before. Thanks to the standard attention and drowsiness warning system, which sounds an alarm if the driver is distracted and tired, and other features, there is the highest score for occupant protection. The emergency braking system with integrated collision warning, which recognizes pedestrians and cyclists in front of the vehicle in addition to other motorized road users, and the active lane departure warning system also received top marks. The SOLTERRA comes with a comprehensive arsenal of safety systems: In addition to the assistants mentioned, the standard scope also includes, for example, adaptive distance and speed control, traffic sign recognition, an adaptive high beam and a lane change, blind spot and cross traffic assistant. Roadside detection with steering assistance, which is also standard, also registers natural driving limitations and keeps the SUV on track.
