The OpenR screen in the All-new Mégane E-TECH Electric is beyond a doubt Renault’s most striking breakthrough in on-board technology in the past several years. Its glass panel and unprecedented size blend beautifully into the cockpit’s lines. The OpenR Link interface, which runs on the Android OS and features Google’s ecosystem, is as simple to use as a smartphone. And the result is clear to see: the screen is seven times smoother to use than the previous generation! Marc, Experience Design Director at Renault, takes us on a hyper-intuitive digital journey.
With the new Megane E-TECH Electric, Renault presents the first representative of a completely new generation of electric vehicles. The dynamically designed model based on the newly developed CMF-EV platform combines all of Renault's expertise as a pioneer of affordable electromobility that is suitable for everyday use. A range of up to 470 kilometers in the WLTP test cycle, the slimmest battery on the market at 11.0 centimeters and the largest info display area in a vehicle in the compact class are just a few of the highlights with which the Megane E-TECH Electric Redefined the limits for battery electric vehicles.With its multitude of innovations, the Renault Megane E-TECH Electric embodies the "Nouvelle Vague" from Renault, in English "New Wave", a product offensive with which the brand is driving the transformation to an integral mobility provider and operator of a fully networked ecosystem for electromobility . Renault offers the electric model in two power levels with 96 kW/131 hp and 160 kW/218 hp. The battery is also available in two capacity levels: 40 kWh and 60 kWh. The batteries can be "filled up" with a wide range of charging capacities and amperages, including, depending on the version, DC fast charging stations with up to 130 kW.

Features of the Mégane E-TECH Electric are sensual style elements such as the muscularly rounded shoulder area, the drawn-in flanks and the contoured bonnet. They are complemented by striking high-tech details such as micro-optical LED light strips at the rear or the large OpenR screen in the interior. Thanks to the lower cooling requirement of the electric drive, the designers were able to create a largely closed front. Another feature: the door handles, which are flush with the body, open automatically as soon as the driver approaches. The external appearance is completed by borrowings from the world of crossover models. Depending on the equipment, these include 18 or 20-inch wheels, the high belt line and protectors on the wheel arches and vehicle flanks. The roof, which is curved towards the rear, is reminiscent of a coupé.
