Police have asked for Sue Gray's report to include "minimal reference" to alleged Downing Street lockdown parties to avoid prejudicing their own investigation.
The new allegation is the latest in a string of parties reportedly held at Downing Street during the pandemic which senior civil servant Sue Gray is expected to publish a report on later this week.
Downing Street says the government acknowledges a lockdown-breaching party the night before the Duke of Edinburgh's funeral has caused "significant public anger".
Downing Street has denied a Christmas party was held and Johnson has insisted no rules were broken.
