Images of several hundred demonstrators marching in Paris to denounce the Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip almost six months after the start of the war. The health ministry in Hamas-run Gaza said Saturday that at least 32,000 people have been killed in the territory during the months of war between Israel and Palestinian militants. It added that more than 75,000 people have been wounded in the Gaza Strip since the war began when Hamas militants attacked Israel on October 7. IMAGES

In a press briefing during a visit to a synagogue in the Paris suburb of Boulogne-Billancourt for the Jewish feast of Yom Kippur, French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin declared that "we are at war against Islamic terrorism" and considered that "perhaps we have collectively put it a little behind us", two days after the cleaver attack in Paris.
