COVID-19 in France: As gov't weighs vaccine pass, health minister expresses newfound optimism

Description

Dr. Jean-Jacques Zambrowski, Hospital Physician and Professor of Public Health Management, agrees with French Health Minister Olivier Véran that there is light at the end of the tunnel, despite the "number of active cases increasing dramatically." Dr. Zambrowski points to the low number of Covid patients currently in ICU as well as the very low number of deaths. "I think that the minister was right to say that, maybe, we could be at the last episode of the story." Nevertheless, Dr. Zambrowski wholeheartedly embraces the French government's strategy of phasing out health passes in favor of vaccination certificates to access most public places. "Absolutely, there is nothing else to be done. There is no real treatment, the clinical studies show no efficacy. Therefore, all that can be done," explains Dr. Zambrowski, is to get vaccinated, "wash your wands, put on a mask, and so on."
