Series production of the new ŠKODA ENYAQ COUPÉ iV has started at ŠKODA AUTO’s main plant in Mladá Boleslav. Like the successful, all-electric ENYAQ iV, it is based on the Volkswagen Group’s Modular Electrification Toolkit (MEB). More than 120 units of the elegant coupé will be produced every day at the main plant alongside the ŠKODA ENYAQ iV, OCTAVIA and OCTAVIA iV model series. In future, 2000 employees will be assembling more than 120 units of the ŠKODA ENYAQ COUPÉ iV a day on the same production line as the ENYAQ iV and OCTAVIA. The two ENYAQ iV variants are the only models based on the Volkswagen Group’s Modular Electrification Toolkit (MEB) to roll off a European assembly line outside Germany. The emotive ŠKODA ENYAQ COUPÉ iV combines sporty lines with generous space and offers a boot capacity of 570 litres. The panoramic glass roof, which comes as standard, is the largest in ŠKODA’s portfolio and makes up the entire roof. At the same time, it is thinner than the full roof, giving passengers extra headroom. Series production of the new ŠKODA ENYAQ COUPÉ iV has started at ŠKODA AUTO’s main plant in Mladá Boleslav. Audi Hungaria has started production of electric motors at its plant in Győr, Hungary. The first electric motors from Audi Hungaria will be used in the Audi e-tron. It is the first all-electric Audi model and will be built at the Audi plant in Brussels. The electric motor from Győr offers numerous new features. With the stator – one of the core components of the motor – the aim is to insert as much of the thin enamelled copper wire as possible into the casing: the tighter the winding, the more efficient the power delivery.
A new era is starting at Audi Hungaria. On Tuesday, series production of electric motors officially started in Győr. In the context of the symbolic act, the production plant was put into operation by Péter Szijjártó, Minister for Foreign Trade and Foreign Affairs, Peter Kössler, Board of Management Member for Production and Logistics at AUDI AG, and Achim Heinfling, Managing Director of AUDI HUNGARIA Zrt. The electric motors are produced on floor space of 8,500 square meters with an innovative production concept: modular assembly. The company has invested a double digit million amount to set up the motor production facility. Approximately 100 people are employed in this new area at present.
