Teachers in Greece protest against new teacher evaluation law

Athens, Oct 11 (EFE) .- Thousands of primary and secondary school teachers demonstrated Monday in several Greek cities, against the new teacher evaluation law, which they believe harms schools in poorer neighborhoods.The teachers' unions declared a 24-hour strike. According to their estimates, 70% of the teachers participated in the strike while the Athens Court of Appeal examined the request of the Ministry of Education to declare the mobilizations illegal.
