Around 2,000 migrants at Belarus border trying to enter Poland

Description

Hundreds of migrants shivered in freezing temperatures and huddled round campfires on the Belarusian border with Poland on Tuesday in front of razor wire fences and lines of Polish border guards blocking their entry into the European Union. FRANCE 24's Gulliver Cragg reports from Poland.

    Images released by Polish Police show the area along the border with Belarus close to the border town of Kuznica which has been entirely cleared of migrant encampments. Some 2,000 migrants who were living in freezing conditions at the border have been moved to a nearby warehouse. The West accuses Belarus of artificially creating the crisis by bringing in would-be migrants, mostly from the Middle East, and taking them to the border with promises of an easy crossing into the EU.
