London, Dec 12 (EFE/EPA).- Eager Christmas shoppers braving the coronavirus pandemic flocked to Central London's shopping streets to buy gifts in person in the lead up to holiday season. Shoppers and shops have been warned to carry on health guidance this weekend.Non-essential shops in all parts of England were allowed to reopen when lockdown ended on 2 December 2020 ahead of the Christmas period. England is in a three tier system which will be reviewed on 16 December. The capital had the highest average infection rate in the country - 191.8 per 100,000 people - for the week of 30 November to 6 December, according to the weekly surveillance survey by Public Health England.
