‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2’ Makes $17 Million At Thursday Box Office

Description

“Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2” blasted to a 17 million dollar opening at the Thursday previews. The mark gives the film the highest preview gross of 2017. Disney is expecting to make at least 140 million dollars domestically this weekend, after it’s successful opening on 37 overseas market this week. “Volume 2” takes place approximately three months after the first film, as Star-Lord, played by Chris Pratt comes face-to-face with Ego, played by Kurt Russell, who is his long-lost father.
