  • No Kidding! Yoga with Goats Takes Off in Oregon

More than 20 yogis took part in a 'Goat Yoga' class at the No Regrets Farm, in Willamette Valley, Oregon, on Saturday. Half a dozen goats attended the workshop, although instead of practicing their yoga poses they were brought along to help attendees to relax. Goats wandered around and played among participants who took a pause from their stretches to stroke the animals.

  • 'Goat yoga' trend reaches Sweden

In Sweden, a class now offers residents of the capital Stockholm the chance to take part in 'goat yoga,' practising their positions in a park as the animals wander around them and relax at their feet. The class was set up by Malin Tyren Bakken, who first heard about goat yoga when visiting family in New York, and started the classes in summer 2018 in Lidingo in Stockholm, where she keeps several dozen goats. Up to 20 or so people attend the classes, which take place in a paddock and will continue during the winter.

  • Oregon's goat yoga now has a 900-person waiting list

Back in August, we discovered potentially the perfect Oregon pastime: goat yoga. Basically, goat yoga is yoga except instead of with no goats, goat yoga has goats. Those goats walk through the class, blending farm animal with asana. In August, Lainey Morse, owner of No Regrets Farm in Albany where the class takes place, told us, "My goats are very social and friendly animals and love to interact with people." The popularity of exercising with hoofed creatures has only grown, especially after a video about the class was created by "60 Second Docs." In the video Morse said the class has a waiting list of 600 people.
