Opposition Party Plans To Block Streets As Venezuela Assembly Vote Looms

On Friday, Venezuelan opposition sympathizers prepared to block streets as part of a larger mobilization against a legislative superbody which has been broadly condemned by countries around the world as a weakening of democratic governance in the OPEC nation. Critics of the plan fear that the election of the constituent assembly is a plot by President Nicolas Maduro to create dictatorship.
