The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 marks a big comeback for the company, following all of the disastrous Galaxy Note 7 battery failures last year. Thanks to the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus launch, we now have a better idea what to expect from the Note 8. According to an official invite sent to the media, Samsung is going to announce the Galaxy Note 8 on August 23. According to rumors, it could be one of the first smartphones with a pixel-dense 4K screen. A larger screen size is also likely, possibly up to 6.4 inches. It also is rumored to come in a wide variety of colors, including Midnight Black, Maple Gold, Deep Sea Blue and Orchid Grey.
It's being called the biggest comeback story in the history of mobile phones, and now amid the highly anticipated launch date the Samsung Galaxy 8 specs have been released, revealing nearly everything you'd want to know about the Note 8, including specs on the screen, the camera and internal specs. The leaks revealed these details about the Note 8, a QHD+ screen, 6.3-inch screen size and likely another 'Infinity display'. According to Techradar.
AT&T has cancelled Galaxy Fold pre-orders.
Pre-orders are down for the Samsung Galaxy S9 as reviews show it is more exensive to repair than the iPhone X, while its iris scanner is "pretty much exactly the same" as on the S8.
Even though the iphone is hot in the news right now, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 still appears to have a lot a heat building up to its release. The Note 8 is the most-pre-ordered entry in the Note family. This is a slight shock to the company, due to the fact that the last phone they released had battery issues, and many customers were unhappy and did not want a samsung phone any more. The phone hits store shelves in the US and UK this Friday, September 15.
Amazon has one of the best deals on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus right now, as a number of other sellers have ended long-running sale prices. This summer has seen a lot of price cuts for the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, with one of the best being $150 off, bringing the prices to $574 for a Galaxy S8 and $674 for a Galaxy S8 Plus. Samsung and Groupon offered this deal in the past, but recently stopped. Now Amazon has this deal going for the unlocked Midnight Black version of the 64GB Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. And for the Galaxy S8, that's verging on half the price of a new Galaxy Note 8, which starts at $929, and some carriers are asking for $960 for the Note 8 price, like Verizon and Sprint. For anyone in the market for a new phone and dazzled by the Note 8 but crushed by its astronomical price tag, this Galaxy S8 deal is worth checking out.
