Russia And US Partner To Create Space Station

Description

NASA and Roscosmos signed a joint statement today at the 68th International Astronautical Congress in Adelaide, Australia agreeing to work together to create a space station near the moon. The space station would orbit the Moon and exist as a place to prepare for crewed missions to go deeper into space than in previous attempts. Russia's Roscosmos will assist NASA in exploring the concept. The Guardian reports: “The Russians and Americans would cooperate to build the systems needed to organize scientific missions in lunar orbit and to the surface of the moon.”
