NASA’s New Astronauts Are Pilots, Engineers and Geologists

Description

This year, just 12 of America's best and brightest were chosen to be part of NASA's astronaut corps. The group will help NASA return humans to space on an array of new vehicles--and eventually send them to Mars. Most of the recruits come with extensive military and flight experience. That's typical. But according to Science Magazine, four hold science and engineering Ph.D.s.
