Google Faces Years of EU Oversight On Top of Record Antitrust Fine

Description

On Tuesday Reuters reports that EU antitrust regulators hit Google with a record $2.7 billion fine for favoring its own shopping service. The ruling opens the door for further regulatory actions against more crucial parts of Google's business. The European Commission gave Google 90 days to stop favoring its own shopping service in internet searches. If it did not comply, its parent company, Alphabet, would face up to 5 percent of its average daily global revenue.
