Hurricane Irma Literally Takes a Bite Out of Orlando Highway

Description

The damage wrought by Hurricane Irma left Orlando’s main interstate road with a gigantic hole as seen in drone footage captured on Tuesday. The receding 100 mph winds literally bit a chunk out of an intersection where the I-4 meets the 434 Longwood. Crews have already been called in and are working hard to get the highway back up and running to four lanes as soon as possible, but engineering estimates indicate that the repairs will take about a month to be completed.
