Toyota Forum - Toyota Compact SUV Concept Premiere
The Škoda Karoq compact SUV is available with four-wheel drive across all trim levels from the Ambition equipment line up. Škoda offers 4×4 drive in combination with the 110 kW (150 hp) 2.0 TDI, and the 2.0 TSI delivering 140 kW (190 hp) is also available exclusively for the Karoq Sportline with all-wheel drive. The power distribution is controlled by a fifth-generation electronic multi-plate clutch, while off-road mode can be activated at the touch of a button. Thanks to the 2.0 TDI, the Karoq can tow trailers weighing up to 2,100 kilograms. When parking with a trailer, the optional Trailer Manoeuvring Assistant provides support by manoeuvring it in the desired direction with automatic steering when reversing slowly. Škoda produced 18,203 units of the Karoq 4×4 in 2022.
The KAROQ, the younger and smaller brother of the KODIAQ, is a compact SUV. Its size and stylish design make it a perfect fit for the city, and thanks to the intelligent 4x4 drive and Off-road mode it handles just as well when you explore off the beaten track. It is predestined for a family role by its outstanding luggage compartment, complemented by numerous Simply Clever features and the unique, sophisticated VarioFlex rear seat system. The high level of safety, backed up by a host of drive assistants, extensive comfort features, and plethora of connectivity options, will make it enjoyable for all owners.
The fifth concept car created by students at the SKODA Vocational School has been named the ŠKODA Sunroq. For around eight months, 23 students from seven different professions worked on the concept of a cabriolet version based on the popular compact SUV SKODA KAROQ. One of the last steps in the project was finding a suitable name for the vehicle. To facilitate this, the students invited SKODA customers and fans to submit suggestions via different social media channels. In the end, Sunroq was chosen from among several hundred proposed names – the students found that it suited their cabriolet perfectly given its openness to the sun, which makes it an ideal vehicle for a summer holiday. The author of the winning submission was invited to the SUNROQ’s official presentation. He will meet with the students and their teachers and will be even able to go on a drive in the functional concept car, which has a Velvet Red paint finish.
