David Pujadas vient d'être écarté mercredi du JT de France 2 après 16 ans de bons et loyaux services, pour y présenter le JT dès le 3 septembre 2001. Si les premiers jours semblent plutôt calmes, ils seront de courte durée. Huit jours après son arrivée sur la chaîne, le présentateur doit faire face aux attentats du World Trade Center, du 11 septembre 2001. Au fil de sa carrière, David Pujadas n'a pas hésité quelquefois à lever la voix, comme le 31 janvier 2011 devant un Bernard Tapie survolté et sommé de s'expliquer sur l'arbitrage à propos du litige opposant l'ex-patron de l'OM au Crédit Lyonnais. Même rengaine lors du troisième débat pour l’investiture des Républicains, jeudi 17 novembre 2016, où Nicolas Sarkozy juge "indigne" une question posée par l'animateur sur un possible financement libyen de sa campagne présidentielle en 2007.
