Dubai Police Unveil World's First 'Robot Cop'

The week, the Dubai Police Department unveiled the “world’s first operational robot policeman.” The five-foot-seven bot, which weighs around 220 pounds, is equipped with cameras and an array of sensors. The bot also contains 24/7 connectivity, ensuring that the Dubai Police can keep tabs on its whereabouts. Police can also tune into a live video stream as the robot makes its rounds. In addition, the robot also has the ability to communicate in six different languages. According to a spokesman, the bot’s primary function as of now is “to assist and help people in the malls or on the streets.”
