Simon Cowell Not Returning for 'American Idol' Reboot?

In a new interview with Extra, Simon Cowell confirmed that he was approached about joining the upcoming reboot of 'American Idol', but took a hard pass. Cowell, one of the original judges on the singing competition, added, "I have no interest. My memories are when we first started. It was a different time with Randy Jackson, Ryan Seacrest and Paula Abdul. You can’t recreate that.
