HBO Hackers Threaten To Release Data

Description

A hacker group is threatening to release data this weekend that it allegedly obtained from HBO. According to TheWrap, the hackers claim to have 1.5 terabytes of “sensitive data” that they plan to release incrementally beginning this Sunday afternoon. The message to TheWrap read, “Hi, I am Mr. Smith. Yes, we hacked HBO and 1.5 TB of sensitive data and films is in our hands! We release the leak gradually every week." The message ended with "HBO is Falling…….” The hackers claim to have several unreleased episodes of “Game of Thrones,” along with the script for this Sunday’s episode.

There’s a chance that this latest attack might push Pfizer/BioNTech's timeline for an EU regulatory review of its proposed vaccine back a bit.
