76-yo Russian Powerlifter Proves 'Age Doesn’t Mean a Thing'

76-year-old powerlifter Valerii Bystrov puts athletes half his age to shame at his local gym in Balashikha in the Moscow Region. Bystrov began powerlifting at the age of 65 and started competing at 68. In his age and weight category, the pensioner holds 71 world records. He can currently squat up to 450 pounds and bench 235 pounds. Even more incredibly, the elderly powerlifter managed to achieve these results without protein powders or making any changes to his diet.

Belgium probing Russian 'interference' in European Parliament says PM
