Game of Thrones Breaks Ratings Record (Again) With ‘Eastwatch’

The latest episode of HBO’s Game of Thrones has broken the series ratings record for the second time this season. Right now, Thrones has only two more episodes left of in its shortened seventh season, with only an additional six-episode-long eighth season set to follow, and viewers can already start to feel the end coming for the smash hit fantasy series. The latest episode, "Eastwatch," snagged 10.7 million viewers, racing past its predecessor’s 10.2 million and even higher than the season 7 premiere’s impressive 10.1 million. In case that wasn’t already enough, the episode also managed to rake in more than 30 million viewers in encore broadcasts, online streaming services, and DVR playback.
