Saoirse Ronan Stars In Real-Life 'Game of Thrones'

Saoirse Ronan is playing Mary, Queen of Scots in a Josie Rourke's 'Mary, Queen of Scots.' Ronan will star opposite Margot Robbie, who plays Queen Elizbaeth I. The film is written by Beau Willimon. She was the Queen of France at 16 and then becoming a widow at just 18. Mary defies the pressure on her to remarry, instead returning to her native home of Scotland to reclaim her throne. There, she faced a battle of power with Elizabeth I, who rules over both England and Scotland. With a determination to rule as more of a figurehead, Mary asserts her claim to the throne and threatened Elizabeth I’s sovereignty. With betrayal, rebellion and conspiracies around every corner, the course of history could be changed forever as the chaos within each court puts both thrones in peril.
