Game of Thrones Director Gives Insight Into To Working With George R.R. Martin


As "Game of Thrones" wound down its penultimate season, veteran director Alan Taylor was back behind the camera for the epic dragon vs. Night King battle in "Beyond the Wall." Taylor last worked on the series for the notable final two episodes of season one — "Baelor" and "Fire and Blood". While speaking with Business Insider he shared, "Since I was last involved with the show — it's gotten bigger in so many ways.

    HBO is beginning development on its **Game of Thrones** spinoff series. The network announced Monday the director for the first episode and the series regular cast. **Jessica Jones** director S.J. Clarkson will direct the show's first episode. She will also serve as an executive producer. The pilot script is being written by Jane Goldman and franchise creator George R.R. Martin. The cast of the series will be led by Naomi Watts and Josh Whitehouse, as previously announced.
