California, New York, Washington Buck Trump To Back Climate

Description

On Thursday three Democratic governors said they won't let the United States back away from a commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This despite President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw from an international pact. Blasting the decision as "deviant behavior from the highest office in the land," California Gov. Jerry Brown said, "This is an insane move by this president." Brown joined Gov. Jay Inslee of Washington state and Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York to form the U.S. Climate Allianc. They intend to uphold the Paris climate agreement. The pact involves nearly 200 nations and is aimed at slowing the warming of the planet.
