Another voice has joined the chorus of business leaders running away from their support of US President Donald Trump. Business Insider reports billionaire venture capitalist Doug Leone was once one of Trump's strongest supporters in Silicon Valley. However, Business Insider reports he now says he believes Trump was responsible for inciting the riots. After last week's horrific events, President Trump lost many of his supporters, including me. Doug Leone Managing Partner, VC Sequoia Capital Global Leone has donated to many Republicans including at least $2,700 in 2018 to Josh Hawley. Hawley is the Republican Senator from Missouri who voted against certifying the election results after the riots.

He's argued that votes still being counted in vital battleground states such as Michigan and Pennsylvania should be dismissed. However, HuffPost reports he's been dished out the same condescending advice from the same young environmentalist he gave it to. Greta Thunberg tweeted that Trump should 'chill,' 'work on his Anger Management problem' and watch a 'good old fashioned movie with a friend. Trump originally used the 'anger management' line against Thunberg in December 2019 after the teen was named Time’s Person of the Year.

Crowds dispersed on Sunday evening after police designated the gathering as a riot and appeared to make several arrests. According to Business Insider, Trump doubled down on his 'law and order' campaign rhetoric Monday morning. Referring to protesters as 'animals,' Trump retweeted a video of the protests, in which statues of Presidents Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt were toppled. He also got a jab in at the Great State of California, tweeting that it was 'going to hell' and exhorted, 'Vote Trump!'
