Yemen - The Escalation: Could Sunni-Shiite divide engulf the region? (part 1)

Description

Yemen's no longer a proxy war in a remote location. A Saudi-led coalition has begun air strikes to stop the Iran-allied Houthi, who already control the capital, from taking over the whole country. Egypt, Jordan, the Gulf States, Sudan and Pakistan are getting involved - a Sunni coalition backed by US intelligence. The US is also assisting Iran-backed Shiite forces against the IS group. Will this contradiction undermine a nuclear deal with Iran? Is this the start of total war in the region?

  • Escalation: North Korea takes on all comers (part 1)

The United States and South Korea rolling out a missile defense shield days after Pyongyang fired more test rockets, this time onto the Sea of Japan. Pyongyang angry and jittery over annual joint military exercises by Seoul and Washington. Nerves are particularly frayed because Pyongyang's not the only place that's hard to read these days. There's China and a US State Department that's gone mostly quiet since Donald Trump took office. What to make of the muted response from Washington?
